Preview: Adrian vs. Jasper

With the playoffs starting up in HS football the lights couldn’t be brighter. Key matchup Adrian vs Jasper. Jasper is the clear underdog through the eyes of senior linebacker and running back Zachary Shannon. Not only does Zach predict a shutout for the Black Death defense, he also states that the Jasper offense will not get inside the 20-yard line. The 2-7 Tigers, however, are coming into the game off of big win against a good Lockwood team, and the Blackhawks defense is coming into the game after giving up 60 to Fair Grove. Most likely this will be the senior Blackhawks last home game. When asked if this potentially being our last home game would be sentimental in any way Zach said this, “I do think this will be our last home game, but that doesn’t mean it will be our last game.” I was curious to how one of Adrian's Captain gets ready for these big games, “Listen to music, relieve stress, listen to wild boyz, tape up, kill the tigers.” A very short answer from a very outspoken player. He predicted a big win Friday, so I was curious how he will celebrate the big win. “Eat a 5 dollar craving meal at Tbell,” was his answer. Winning will be very big but, with that, an even bigger game comes along, the winner of Lockwood Rich Hill. Zach thinks that Lockwood will win due to the fact that they have already played and Lockwood won by a hefty margin. Like I said earlier the Blackhawks are coming off a big loss, but it was to a very good team.
