2016 Music Concert

On Wednesday, December 7th, our talented blackhawks showed their musicality in their 2016 Winter Concert. The concert was split into two different parts. The choral performances were first. The high school choir kicked off the concert with their songs, “Ding-A-Ding-A-Ding,” “I’ll Be Home for Christmas,” and “Ching-A-Ring Chaw.” The concert then moved on to the Middle School Combined Choir. They sang “Somewhere Out There” and “Perfect Christmas Night.” The Acahawks brought in the end of the choral half of the show. They sang “Carol of the Bells,” “Miserere Nobis,” and “Season of Love.” Gracie Glynn and Colton Nelson, Members of the sixth grade band, played “Aura Lee” during the intermission. As the band portion of the concert began, the sixth grade band played, “When the Saints,” “Old MacDonald Had a Band,” “Ode to Joy,” and “Jingle Bells on the Housetop.” The seventh and eighth grade band then played “Frosty Bells Rock.” The High School Band then played, “A Merry Christmas Medley.” The concert was brought to a close with the junior high and high school combined band, who played “Everything for a Dream,” and “Clarinets Packing Up Early.” It was a great concert, conducted by Miss Given and Mrs. Kilgore, accompanied by Mrs. Young.
