Pajamas For Alta
On September 1, 2016 a group from Adrian's FCCLA Chapter set up a fundraiser to donate to fifth grader, Alta, and her family. Alta has been waiting for a blood transfusion and this fundraiser provided money for her to go to Washington D.C. and receive this transplant. Ms. Tallman's class was thrilled when they heard they could donate a dollar to a cause and get to wear their pajamas to school. I spoke with the leaders of this project, Bailey Mcmillan and Jaylee Welcher. Bailey says, "After we heard about Alta's situation, we immediately went to Mrs. McVey to see what we could do to help" "We were very surprised by the outcome and were so glad our school could help support her," Jaylee explains. Our school raised $1,345 for her and her family.

3rd Graders get back into the swing of things by picking up a good book! Dallys Schaffer explains to me that she just got new glasses while Sydney Frazier and Ian Yoss read quietly.
