Have you ever been in that predicament where you receive a random text from someone you don't know? Did you reply? Many kids/teens usually get into situations like this, and can very easily give away valuable information in their lives. Such as where do you live, when is your birthday, what school do you go to, etc. You should be careful to trust someone enough to tell them everything about yourself. There are many dangers to texting or talking to strangers, from the threat of being stalked to being kidnapped or murdered.
The best way to stay safe is to not reply to strangers. However, if you do reply, DO NOT give them important information about yourself. If they use vulgar language or send bad pictures you should not be afraid to report them right away. Reporting them can save you and others from serious danger.
Always be as safe as possible online.
